Why pasirlegara

Working differently from most

Your pace, not ours

Family matters are not routine administrative tasks. We adjust the tempo to what suits the family, not the calendar.

Written, plain advice

Every sitting produces a written summary of your position. Something to read again at home, without legal jargon obscuring the picture.

Quiet outcomes preferred

Where families can reach an understanding without contested proceedings, we work carefully toward that end first.

Discreet by nature

Confidentiality is not a feature we advertise — it is simply how we conduct all matters as a matter of principle.

Singapore-based practice

Rooted in Singapore family law, with knowledge of local court processes, mediation frameworks, and the Family Justice Courts.

Transparent fees

Each service has a clear, stated fee. No surprise charges, no hidden additions. You know what you are committing to before you begin.

Questions

Things people often ask

What happens at a Coast Sitting? +
A Coast Sitting is a quiet, unhurried meeting during which we go through your family's circumstances and produce a written summary of your legal position. There is no pressure to decide anything at this stage — the document is yours to keep and consider in your own time.
How long do family proceedings typically take? +
There is no single answer, as each family's situation carries its own weight. Singapore's Family Justice Courts have their own timelines, and cases that settle through mediation or agreement move considerably faster than contested hearings. We will give you an honest estimate once we have understood your circumstances.
Is mediation suitable for all family disputes? +
Mediation works well where both parties are willing to engage in a structured conversation. It is particularly useful for matters involving children's arrangements, asset division, and maintenance. Where one party declines to participate, or where safety is a concern, other routes may be more appropriate. We will help you assess this clearly.
What are the fees, and are there any additional costs? +
Our three services are priced at SGD 180 (Coast Sitting), SGD 335 (Considered Mediation), and SGD 475 (Patient Course in Family Proceedings). Court filing fees and disbursements, where they arise in proceedings, are separate and we will explain these clearly before they occur. There are no surprise charges added to the agreed fee.
How do I get started? +
Send us a message using the form below or call us directly. You do not need to know what service you need before reaching out — we will help you understand your position first, and you can decide how to proceed from there.
Are consultations confidential? +
Yes. Everything discussed with us is covered by legal professional privilege. We do not share information about our clients or their matters with anyone outside the firm without your consent.
